Amsterdam - LM Windpower September 16th 2010

Not often you get to work for a company so close to your heart but loved being part of this wind turbine promotion event.  Working in collaboration with The Wrong Size stilt company, we created a 12 minute stilt and silk dance piece to showcase and interpret LM Windpower's newly composed soundtrack.  Set in Amsterdam's 'Westergasfabriek' or 'an old gas holder' as we were reliably informed, this was new energy from old energy, so we gave it some aerial energy too!

Rockestra, Malta, September 11th 2010

Rockestra was the stunning combination of The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and a full rock band with local singers on one stage and Viva on another, right in the middle of the 10,000 Maltese(rs!) who had come to see the spectacle.

Michele Laine and Katharine Arnold performed their rock star hearts out to live renditions of Nothing Else Matters, Who Wants to Live Forever and God Gave Rock and Roll to You on silks, hoop and swinging strops with a final glitter drop by the lovely Bryan Donaldson, for extra Rock Factor.

Meeting the charming Prime Minister of Malta in the interval:
"Congratulations - you took my breath away!" - Lawrence Gonzi

Welcome to the Viva Blog!

Welcome to the Viva blog!

The single biggest event this summer for Viva was my fabulous circus wedding to Mr Darren Jenkins.  Set in the gorgeous countryside in Shropshire, the Acrobat and the Ironman tied the knot!  A beautiful service was followed by a party with the Laine brigade, the Jenkins crew and my bestest performer friends who sent me and Darren off in fair circus style, complete with fire, whips and knives.  Thanks go to everyone, especially the amazing Big Grey, Bryan Donaldson, Brett Jackson, David Downie and Louise Martin for making it feel like home.
